How quickly do I need to book my session with you?
Due to the highly customized nature of my process, I work with a limited number of clients monthly. I am typically booking sessions a minimum of 8 weeks in advance from the months of March through November. I suggest getting in touch with me as soon as possible to reserve your session.
When is the best time to take newborn photos? How do I book that session?
The best time to photograph your newborn is when they are less than 10 days old. This is when they’re the smooshiest, most flexible, sleepiest and least likely to have baby acne or be fully scratched from those pesky little fingernails. While this timeframe sounds crazy to most pregnant Moms, it’s a super easy process that isn’t at all intrusive for you guys. If you are currently pregnant, it is suggested that you contact me as soon as you’re ready to reserve your spot on my newborn list. The newborn list is my running list of Moms-to-Be and their due dates, which keeps me in the loop as to when to expect all of the grand entrances that I have on the horizon. If you are not on this list ahead of time, it is impossible for me to guarantee my availability during your little one’s first 10 days of life.
If I am interested in maternity photos, when is the best time to take those?
As someone who has been pregnant, I can answer this question out of experience. If you’re a first time Mom and your tummy is growing on the normal side of things, a great time is 7 to 7.5 months. If you’re not a first time Mom or you’re growing on the large size, we’ll get your session in a bit earlier.
Do you still shoot in Chicago?
Believe it or not, I do. Use the contact form to find out when I’m in town next.
Are you available for travel otherwise?
I sure am. If I am not in your area during a timeframe that you’re interested in, we can discuss travel fees and accommodations.
Do you provide headshots and are you available for commercial and editorial work?
I do and I am. Feel free to contact me for further information.
Do you photograph weddings? Events? Anything else?
No, no and no. I photograph pregnant Moms-to-Be, newborns, children of all ages and families. I do not photograph weddings or any type of event (this includes birthday parties, Christenings, the Bris Milah, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, family reunions, etc) even if they involve children. I do not photograph any type of boudoir and I don’t photograph pets…unless you want them in your family photo.
Do you work with celebrities?
I do. All celebrity inquiries must be made via phone to 1.323.389.7427. Please note that all publicist and assistant calls must also include one or more celebrity parent. Full privacy releases are available upon request.
