    Precious Things Photography is an award winning, eco-friendly, urban boutique photography studio based out of Chicago. We're not your run-of-the-mill children's photographers. We're funky and we know it. We love color, exploring new places and making your children laugh. Our work is cherished by parents and families across the Chicagoland area. We specialize in maternity, newborn, baby, kids, teen and family photography. We don't do weddings. We don't do pets. We stay with what we know, we love what we do and we're lucky.

Tummy time for Baby L!

Baby L is so adorable. Seriously. I had so much fun with him just recently, making silly noises and playing peek-a-boo. He’s got eyes that’ll woo you and a killer smile. Big thanks go out to Baby L for doing such a great job on your tummy for our session. We had you all over the place and you were a real trooper. Big thanks also go out to Baby L’s Mommy for cleaning up some spit up and being my assistant for the morning! One day Baby L will be old enough to go sailing with Daddy…If Daddy ever figures out all of those knots!

Summertime…and the living is easy?

We’re now into July and man oh man, has this weather in Chicago been unpredictable. One day it’s thunder storming and the tornado sirens are going off full blast, the next day it’s 97 degrees and with crystal clear blue skies! Things here at Precious Things Photography are so busy, it’s been hard to keep up…

It’s hard to believe that Baby S is going to be 15 weeks old on Saturday. Where is the time going? He’s a big, big boy and growing so quickly. He bears his full weight on his little legs if we stand him and hold his little hands, he has perfect head control, he’s laughing and squealing, talks all day long and is starting to reach for toys…I now understand why all of you want to document each magical moment in the lives of your little ones – they’re fleeting! So here’s a little picture of a nearly 15 week old Baby S for you from his 4th of July mini vacation. Enjoy!

Baby S and Baby S!

Welcome to the World, Baby S and…Baby S! It was so exciting to meet you and see your gorgeous full heads of hair! You both were wonderful little hams in front of the camera by the end of our session and I had such a great time with both of you. You truly are a Prince and Princess, and I hope to watch you grow into adorable little toddlers! Many thanks to Mommy and all of your Grandparents who kept you comfortable and were so welcoming. See you around the neighborhood!

Daddy B, Mommy S and Baby S…I can’t handle it!

This family. I don’t even know what to say. Have you ever walked into a room with a family you’ve never met before and been able to tell that their love for one another was palpable? Completely surrounding you? Well that’s what I experienced. Just watching the way that Daddy B and Mommy S looked at one another, then look at Baby S was an eye opening experience for me.

It was so great to meet the three of you. Thank you so much for allowing me to explore and play. Baby S, thank you so much for being a great subject. You’re definitely a little flirt and it works…The ladies are going to LOVE you! And Mommy and Daddy? Thank you so much for just going with the flow. I can’t wait to show you some of the magic…
